Out & About 2012

The Think Contraception team were out and about in colleges and universities during SHAG week in February. The Think Contraception team and the Union of Students Ireland (USI) were onsite in four colleges distributing protection packs (condom and sexual health leaflet) and getting students to play the 'Get Protected'  digital game.

Students from the four colleges, UCC, NUI Galway, IT Carlow and DIT Bolton street competed against eachother to recieve the highes game score and win 5,000 protection packs for their college/university.

IT Carlow students recieved the highest score and were awarded a cheque for 5,000 Think Contraception Protection Packs at the recent USI Congress Gala Dinner in Balinasloe.

Remember to use contraception if you think you might be sexually active. Here's our top tips:

• Plan it - Think about contraception before you think about having sex.
• Talk about it - talk to your partner, your doctor and your pharmacist.
• Get it - Sort out contraception before you might need it. Be prepared.
• Use it - Use it correctly each and everytime you have sex, if you don't want an STI or an unplanned pregnancy.
